BudgPal Privacy Policy

BudgPal is designed as a local-first personal budgeting app. Your financial data stays on your device unless you explicitly export or share it.

What BudgPal collects

BudgPal does not collect, transmit, or sell your financial data.

The app stores budgeting data locally on your device, including:

• transactions you import or enter
• categories and merchant rules
• budgets, savings goals, and loans
• reminders and local notification settings
• app preferences such as currency, language, and PIN-lock settings

This information is used only to provide the app's features on your device.

Data sharing

BudgPal does not share your financial data with us or with third parties.

Data only leaves your device when you choose to:

• export a .budgpal file or JSON backup
• share an exported file with another app or device
• restore purchases through Google Play

Payments

If you purchase Premium, payment processing is handled by Google Play. BudgPal does not receive your full payment card details or billing credentials.

Advertising

BudgPal does not display advertising and contains no advertising SDKs.

Security

BudgPal uses platform storage protections and secure local storage where appropriate. On Android and iOS, the local database is encrypted at rest.

Optional device protections include:

• PIN lock
• biometric unlock
• password-protected exported files

No system is perfectly secure, but BudgPal is designed to minimize data exposure by keeping your information on-device by default.

Backups and deletion

You control your data directly.

You can:

• export your data at any time
• import a previously exported file
• wipe all data from within the app

Wiping data removes local app data from the device. Any files you exported or shared separately remain under your control outside the app.

Children's privacy

BudgPal is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
